June Performance By Day

June SPY performance:

June IWM performance:

SPY is a bit flattish, but IWM, which spans 2000+, seems a bit bearish, although there is some recovery right before options expiration, and it finished the month positive.

I looked at what trading day the closing low of the month occurred. For SPY, over the past 19  years, the low has been in the last 5 trading days 8 times, and for IWM, over the past 12 years, the low has been the last 5 trading days 5 times (and only once in the first 5 days). Conversely, the high for the month has often been in the first 5 trading days of the month, although for the SPY, it happens nearly as often the last 6-10 trading days.
